Mandirigma character concept for the Anak Bathala Project. Mandirigma is a Filipino/Tagalog word for "Warrior". He is the embodiment of the Filipino or native islander's strengths, and character. In the Anak Bathala game world and background story, he is enlisted to help the defenders of light on their quest. His raw power, courage, weapon skills and mastery of many implements of death & destruction is utilized to uphold honor and the law of the land.

Great work in preserving the Filipino WArrior Culture in visual form! I myself am a ex-Navy sailor, Fil-Am, born and raised on Guam and Calif as a Navy Brat. My father and his father were both in the Navy.
Awesome. So epic looking!!!
i forgot to tell that certain ethnic weapons belongs to a certain ethnic group. eg, moros signature weapons are the kris, barong, and they also claim that the kampilan is theirs, visayans use kampilan, pinuti, lagwis, & gununting, while igorots are wielders of gulok, head axe, fankao & kayan spears and the pronged shield belongs only to them. visayan shields are diamond-like in shape while moro shields are round and designed at the outside with very similar designs with arab shields.
sir i am just concerned. i think u want to express a visayan bagani (warrior) or a pintado here (the other type is the moro bagani of mindanao which is untattooed). a visayan bagani's preferred weapon is the kampilan, the typical lapu-lapu sword while the moro bagani's signature weapon is the kris which is waved (if he is assumed to be holding a kris then the sword is not in the right form), the shield is very familiar to me (because i am an igorot myself) but it is held in the wrong way. it is never strapped to the forearm but held by hand because an igorot warrior uses the shield more as a weapon for striking, charging, and triping the legs, blades & spears are finishers. the three prongs should be the side that is above. there are many sites that has images & correct discriptions of the said tools.
shit! ang galing mo sir! :salute:
